picking out a skin care line

does it fit your brand?

Does the skincare company have values that align with your business? Is this company a company you want to give your money too? If you are a holistic esthetician, your choice of products should reflect that. Do you focus on acne? Your skincare line should be specialized in acne. Mix and match brands? YES! Sure why not? Some skincare companies can have peels you love but not retail. Does it fit your pricing? If your services are luxury priced you can sell luxury priced products. Think about the income of your clients and would they pay for your products.

easy to access

Can your client purchase these products elsewhere or only from you? This is important to some estheticians. Some lines allow only basic products to be sold to consumers without going through a professional. If this is important to you, ask. Another thing to consider is how much shipping costs and how long does the delivery take. If you’re company is overseas shipping times could be a couple weeks. Drop shipping is also very popular with some companies.

training and customer support

When taking in a new product you are going to want to know how to use it, whats in it, and who to use it on. Education and training are very important when picking out a product line. Do they have free training? Do they offer samples? Is the training in depth and are they always improving? How do they help you as a client? Do they offer social media help? Give you product images?
